Founded in 2012 by Colin Laitner, Metis Capital projects include light industrial, raw land development, residential, and hospitality in Central Texas, Detroit, and New Orleans.

Colin Laitner

Developer - General Counsel
Colin Laitner is an attorney, real estate developer and the principal of Metis Capital based in Austin, Texas. His development experience runs A through Z: that includes initial inception of concept, feasibility, financing, transactional, legal and planning stages, all build phases from ground up to finish out, and through the sales and lease up process to closing. His projects include light industrial, retail, multifamily, and hospitality in Central Texas (mostly in Travis, Williamson, Hayes and Bastrop counties), Detroit Michigan, Puerto Rico, and Bentonville, Arkansas. Metis’ most recent large project is known as Sheldon Cove in North-Central Austin where Metis just delivered Mesa Rim Climbing Center—the largest climbing gym in Texas. He maintains a small legal practice and is experienced in Real Estate, Corporate Structuring, Finance and Tax and is also licensed in real estate by the Texas Real Estate Commission, having personally overseen more than $250 Million in transactions for his core clients and partners as well as his development company Metis Capital.

Jason Cormier

Developer - Associate
Jason Cormier has been a Development Associate with Metis Capital since 2016. Since joining our team, Jason has overseen all commercial leasing transactions and tenant build-outs at Metis’s largest commercial project, Sheldon Cove in Austin Texas. Jason has also run Metis’s residential portfolio being responsible for all aspects of the project from acquisition, planning, construction, marketing and lease up, and through asset management. Jason’s experience is diverse in both scale and scope, and includes construction management in the field as well as marketing, concepting, and running build teams for the benefit of Metis and its clients. A native of Austin, Texas, Jason Cormier received a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University and was a member of the LSU Tiger Football team. Jason also received his MBA in Accounting  from LSUS in 2020. Served as head football coach at Austin Achieve Middle School and mentor for local sports and youth foundations that provide guidance and leadership. Currently is an active board member for the LSU Alumni Austin chapter.

Adrianne Le

Business Manager

Adrianne Le has over 15 years of Business Administration experience in many industries, including finance, medical, and retail. She is currently the Business Manager of Metis Capital LLC. She lives in Austin, TX and enjoys learning cat facts.

Zachary Scott

In House Counsel

With a passion for real estate and a proven track record of success, Zachary brings a wealth of experience to Metis Capital. During Zachary’s tenure at Polsinelli PC and Greenberg Traurig LLP, he represented clients in a wide range of real estate matters, including negotiating joint venture agreements, membership interest purchase agreements, operating agreements, the formation of corporate entities, and the acquisition/disposition of diverse property types, including office buildings, apartment complexes, self-storage facilities, medical offices, vacant land, industrial warehouses, billboards, commercial retail centers, gas stations, casinos. Zachary’s experience in financing structures includes bridge loans, construction and project financings, subordinated and mezzanine financings, revolving credit lines, balance sheet loans, syndicated loans, and conduit loans.
